【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidestheminimumrequirementsfordesign,construction,performance,andtestingoftankventflamearresters.1.2Thisspecificationisintendedforflamearrestersprotectingsystemscontainingvaporsofflammableorcombustibleliquidswherevaportemperaturesdonotexceed60x00B0;C.Thetestmediadefinedin9.1.1canbeusedexceptwherearrestersprotectsystemshandlingvaporswithamaximumexperimentalsafegap(MESG)below0.9mm.Flamearrestersprotectingsuchsystemsmustbetestedwithappropriatemedia(thesamevapororamediahavingaMESGnogreaterthanthevapor).VariousgasesandtheirrespectiveMESGarelistedinTable1.Note18212;FlamearrestersmeetingthisspecificationalsocomplywiththeminimumrequirementsoftheInternationalMaritimeOrganization,MaritimeSafetyCommitteeCircularNo.373(MSC/Circ.373/Rev.1).1.3Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportions,Sections8and9,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.5Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse
