【摘要】:Analcoholinterlockisasystemcomprisingabreathalcoholmeasuringinstrumentandanimmobiliserwhichmaybeeasilyinstalledinamotorvehicle.Beforethevehiclecanbestarted,abreathsamplehastobeprovidedtothealcoholinterlock,normallythroughamouthpiece.Oncethebreathalcoholmeasurementhasbeenperformed,thealcoholinterlockwillpreventdriversfromstartingthemotoriftheyhaveanalcoholconcentrationaboveapredeterminedlimitvalue.Thislimitmaybesetatthelegallimitofarespectivecountryorlower.AlcoholinterlocksthatmeettherelevantEuropeanStandardsdetect,forexample,ifthesampleisdeliveredbyahumanbeing.Theyarealsocapableofpreventinganddetectingtamperingwiththeinstrument.Additionalpartsofthesystemmayincludeidentitycheckingorrecordingmechanisms.ThepurposeofthisTechnicalReportistogivepracticalguidanceforselection,installation,useandmaintenanceofalcoholinterlocks.Itisdirectedtoallthosewhohaveaninterestinalcoholinterlocksaswellascompaniessellingandinstallingalcoholinterlocks,purchasersandusersforcommercial,professionalorprivateuse.TheTechnicalReportgivesinformationaboutthealcoholinterlockandhowitistobeused.ThisTechnicalReportprimarilydescribesalcoholinterlocksforuseinvehiclesasageneralpreventivemeasureintrafficsafety.However,informationprovidedmayalsobeusefulforalcoholinterlocksinotherapplications.
