【摘要】:Themethanolwallwashtestisperformedtodeterminethecleanlinessandsuitabilityofcargotanksorcompartmentsonamarinevesselpriortoloadingpolyestergrademonoethyleneglycol.Polyestergrademonoethyleneglycolhasveryhighqualityrequirementsandmustbehandledwithcare,asitisadverselyaffectedbyoxygen,hydrocarbons,waterandchloride.Itisespeciallysusceptibletoaromaticcontamination,whichdegradesUVtransmittance.Possiblesourcesofcontaminationarethepriorcargoesandcleaningagents.Themethanolwallwashprocedureprovidesarepresentativesamplingoftheimpuritiesandcontaminationpresentonthesidesofthecargotank.Thetestmethodsusedforanalysisofthemethanolwallwashsamplesarecapableofdetermininglowlevelsofimpuritiesorcontaminationinmethanol.Thesetestsincludeappearance,color,hydrocarbonsandchloride.Theproducersofpolyestergrademonoethyleneglycolneedconfirmationofthecleanlinessandsuitabilityofthemarinevesselx2019;stankspriortoloadingwithin-specificationmaterial.Cargotanksthatdonotpassthewallwashtestshouldnotbeloaded.AlternativetestmethodsandtechnologyforseveralofthemethodscanbefoundintheAppendix.Thealternativetestmethodsdonothaveprecisiondatafortheapplicationofthesemethodsinanalyzingmethanol.Useofthesemethodsisoptionalandindividualsusingthealternativemethodsshouldassurethemselvesthatthemethodissufficientlyprecise.Precisiondataisonlyfortheoriginaltestmethodslisted.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemethanolwallwashprocedureandthechemicalandphysicalanalysisofthewallwashsamplingforcargotanksofmarinevesselshandlingpolyestergrademonoethyleneglycol.Thekeysectionsforthewallwashprocedureandtestmethodsappearinthefollowingorder:SectionsWallWashProcedure
